The foundation which core values depend largely on the belief that children and young persons can attain empowerment through quality academic scholarship and health support. This year, on Friday the 8th of September 2023, I.G Aguowo Health & Academic Foundation held the 4th phase of scholarship award ceremony at the Dora Akunyili women development centre Awka, Anambra state. The award ceremony attracted students in large number from different parts of Nigeria, over a 100 students were beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme.
The Governor of Anambra state represented by commissioner for education Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh thanked the founder of the scholarship scheme Chief I.G Aguowo for using the platform to help the less privilege in the society, also calling on well spirited individuals to emulate this noble act of kindness to humanity.
The visionary of the foundation, Chief IG Aguowo (Ugogbuzuo Nibo) Chairman/CEO Volic Group of companies in a statement assured of his strong commitment towards alleviating the plights of the less privilege through academic scholarship and health support.
Highlights of the day was presentation of certificates to the new inductees of the foundation, N1million naira cash prize to the leader of the team that represented Nigeria at Nigerian-Malaysia debate Mrs Amaka Aniekwe, N500,000 cash prize to the two coaches, N100,000 cash prize & scholarship to each of the four students that made up the team.
